Mommy Mentor's Breyer's Smooth & Dreamy Review & Giveaway CLOSED

We live in the desert.  It is hot; not just your average hot, but the hot that can give you second degree burns if you walk barefoot on it.  There are two critical components to our survival of these rather toasty months.


1.  A pool
2.  Ice Cream or frozen yogurt


Thus, when Mom Central was looking for bloggers to try Breyer's new Smooth and Dreamy Ice Cream Bars and Sandwiches, the answer was simple...

Breyer's Smooth and Dreamy Bars have less fat and calories than other ice cream sandwiches and the ice cream is made with all natural ingredients.  Hey - if you are going to indulge, it is always nice to have a few positives in the process, huh?  


After a family testing party, which one lucky Gramma was able to participate in, this was all that remained.   What did One Family think? 


Mr. C liked the Vanilla Fudge Brownie ice cream sandwich...just as I expected.  He prefers vanilla to chocolate ice cream, but loves brownies so I figured this would be the perfect combo for him.


As for Princess A...aka the Chocolate Queen of the house...the one who trademarked the word "cho cho" for chocolate...well she liked the Triple Chocolate Chip bar the best.  Big surprise, huh?   When I asked her why she liked it, this was her ever so sweet three-year-old answer. "I don't know.  It is cho cho?"  :)


One Daddy?  He likes them both the same.  He loves himself a nummy ice cream sandwich and while he loved the brownie sandwich wafers, the vanilla ice cream did not completely do it for him. Now the volume of chocolate chips in the Triple Chocolate Chip bar...absolutely!  


Gramma Cathy was here as well and she liked them both, but preferred the Triple Chocolate Chip bar.  Why?  It was creamy and had tons of "cho cho".  


Last but not least is little old me.  I am usually an ice cream sandwich woman.  However, I have to side with the Triple Chocolate Chip bar in this taste test.  Don't get me wrong, I liked the ice cream sandwich, but when Mr. C wanted to trade me my sandwich for his Triple Chocolate Chip bar...well, I was all in.  The crispy shell with the little chocolate chips in the ice cream were a wonderful little sensory treat.  


Breyer's Smooth and Dreamy bars are great!  They taste great and are truly satisfying and check out your options: Triple Chocolate Chip bar, Vanilla Fudge Brownie sandwich, Chocolate Covered Strawberry Bars (MUST...TRY...THOSE!), Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough sandwiches, Chocolate Caramel Brownie sandwiches, and Vanilla Caramel Chip bars.  Best of all, they are all within that reasonable calorie limit for dessert or a mid-day snack.
