Rainbow Brite Makes a Comeback & You Could Win One! - CLOSED

I remember Rainbow Brite dolls from when I was a child.  I loved how blond she was and the fun colors she wore.  Thus, when I received the 25th anniversary edition of Rainbow Brite, I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical.  Could it really be as good for our little girl?

Apparently, the answer is yes for our little Princess A.  She totes her around, loves her clothes and boots, and puts her to bed at night. An added bonus is that Rainbow Brite fits perfectly in her Barbie townhouse so thankfully she can use the elevator to get to the hot tub with the other girls.

We do have difficulty keeping track of her little arm bands, but one thing I love is that her boots stay on.  Unlike the tiny shoes from other dolls in our house, that shall remain unnamed for this post, you can actually keep track of Rainbow Brite's boots.  The likelihood of vacuuming them up is also very minimal. ;)

All fun aside, there is something that truly stands out for me with Rainbow Brite twenty-five years later...she is still pure.  She is not too glammed up. She is not too - um, shall we say, mature for her targeted audience.  She still has a childlike face.  That is just comforting in today's world.

Now onto some FUN!  I am also thrilled to announce that I am able to offer one Rainbow Brite Doll to a lucky FOMTA reader. I cannot guarantee which doll the winner will receive, BUT you will receive either Rainbow Brite, Moonglow, or Tickled. (Sorry, but this contest is open to US residents only.)

OMG does tht bring back memories!! My little sister LOVED Rainbow Brite! I remember once she lost the little star friend on our way to Sunriver during a winter vacation. On our way home later that week we stopped at the same gas station and I found it frozen on the ground. My dad and I managed to break it free from it's frozen prison and my mom washed it when we got home and it was as good as new!LOL

AH! I WAS rainbow brite for Halloween. :) It was so fun to relive the memories as I looked for the costume stuff! I would love Rainbow Brite herself if I won. I was excited when I was looking for RB stuff for the costume to find out that they were "re-releasing" her for this generation! :)

Loved my rainbow brite dolls as a kid and had a puzzle of rainbow. I saved the puzzle and DD#1 has recently started putting it together and thinks it's fun that it was Mommy's!

My sister and I are a little less than two years apart. When I was four years old, I received Moonglow's blue sprite Nite Sprite. She went everywhere with me, showing up in many a family wedding and baptism.

After an unfortunate incident involving my sister, a pen, and Nite Sprite's plastic face, my mom went to great lengths to remove the pen marks. Nite Sprite went on an adventure involving a trip through the washing machine; a run in with rubbing alcohol & vinegar then ultimately was hidden away until my mom received an answer to her letter penned to 'Hints from Heloise.' My mother later returned Nite Sprite to me...minus the pen marks. My mom saved the day.
