One Mommy's Review of Rebecca Minkoff's Beloved in Distressed Teal

Rebecca Minkoff has a beautiful collection of handbags. I currently have a Stud Rocker for nights out (and a MAC on the way :) ), but was looking for something for daily wear. Since I don't typically carry handbags on my arm and own plenty of hobos, I was drawn to Rebecca Minkoff's Beloved and Mini Beloved.

Why did I settle on the full size Beloved? Quite simple...I have learned that I do better with bags that are larger rather than smaller. So I figured it was better to gamble on having more space instead of too little.

The distressed leather is AMAZING from Rebecca Minkoff. It is so buttery soft that is just smooooshes flat when the bag is empty. It is one of those leathers where when you touch it, it just makes you happy. :)

The zippers on the top flap are for show only, but the ones on the front of the bag are actually pockets...pics coming up.

A shot without flash so you can see that the tone of the teal is pretty accurate in the pictures with flash.

The back of the bag is simple - I like having a flush surface against clothing so nothing snags.

When you lift the flap, the zipper pockets are exposed. (You can get in them without opening the flap. Perfect for your cell or other quick access items.)

This shows inside the front pockets of the Rebecca Minkoff Beloved. Picture it like a sweatshirt with the front kangaroo pocket. You can reach in all the way across the front of the bag for this pocket. The pocket on the other side reaches all the way across as well...just on top of the other. They are not connected...pretty great design.

Even One Daddy thought it was good. :) (Either that or he just made it sound like he loved it to appease me. Anyone want to vote?)

The sides of the Rebecca Minkoff Beloved each have a pocket like this.

They are functional for smaller items: Blue tooth Headsets, keys, Kleenexes, sun block, hand sanitizer...

The interior of this Beloved is lovely. I love the black and white floral pattern! It holds my Hayden Harnett Pompidou, Ju Ju Be Be Set, Lexie Barnes Mini, Hayden Harnett sunglasses case, my iPhone, Camelbak water bottle, and Ju Ju Be coin purse with my blue tooth headset in it.
The boxy shape of the RM bags make them perfect packers. Everything fits so nicely...

The rear interior of the Beloved has a nice sized zippered pocket that fits my hand lotion and other random items. There is a slip pocket along the front of it.

The front interior of the Beloved features two slip pockets. One is slightly wider than the other, but both are a great size!

I LOVE handbags that can be worn messenger style so the Rebecca Minkoff Beloved is perfect! Here it is worn at my side. There is still one more notch to adjust the length longer; thus it would be 2-3 inches longer.

Worn at the side...

Front shot of the Beloved worn messenger style. It is a nice depth and wears very comfy this way. Again, the length could be adjusted another 2-3 inches longer. For reference, I am 5'7". The Rebecca Minkoff Beloved measures 10"h x 15"w x 5.5"d and retails for $595.00.

(Disclosure: I was not asked to review this bag nor given this bag to review. My thoughts are just that...from one bagophile to another. Smiley Faces )

oh my, this review has me TOTALLY wanting this bag now. I had ignored it b/c it just didn't look as exciting as the MAB/MAM's. But I've now decided while I love my Devote, I need something easier. The Beloved might be the ticket!!

Thanks so much for the great review!

Thanks for stopping in Lisa! I truly love this bag and after getting it, am done (for now) with thinking I need a MAM. I get SO many compliments on it and have a line of people who want it when I inevitably sell - lol!
